Privacy Policy
Introduction
PillowTalk ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PillowTalk mobile application and website. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our service and the choices you have associated with that data.
Data We Collect
PillowTalk is designed with privacy-first principles. We collect minimal data:
Information You Provide
- Messages: All conversations between you and your partner are stored on our servers to enable the chat feature. Only you and your partner can access these messages.
- Account Information: If you use PillowTalk Pro, we collect payment information through secure third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, RevenueCat). We do not store credit card information.
- Contact Information: If you contact us via email, we keep records of your inquiry and response.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Operating system, app version, device model.
- Usage Data: Features used, pages visited, time spent in the app (anonymized for analytics).
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps (standard server logs).
How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- To provide and improve the PillowTalk service
- To process payments for PillowTalk Pro
- To respond to your inquiries and support requests
- To comply with legal obligations
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Data Security
Your messages are stored on secure, encrypted servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your messages and account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is removed within 30 days.
No Account Required
PillowTalk does not require you to create an account or provide an email address. Pairing happens via a private link. This minimizes the personal data we collect.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for:
- Analytics: Mixpanel (anonymized events; see Mixpanel Privacy Policy)
- Payments: Stripe and RevenueCat
- Hosting: Cloud providers (AWS, Firebase)
These services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
Children's Privacy
PillowTalk is designed for adults in romantic relationships. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the data immediately.

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- Right to access your data
- Right to correct inaccurate data
