Your Right to Delete Data
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from PillowTalk at any time. This includes your account, all messages, conversation history, and associated profile information.
How to Delete Your Account
The easiest way to delete your data is directly in the app:
Via PillowTalk App:
- Open PillowTalk
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll to Account
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your request
Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be erased within 30 days.
Data Deletion Request by Email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to submit a request by email, contact us with the following information:
Email Details to Include:
- Your full name
- The email address associated with your account (if any)
- Your device type (iOS or Android)
- Your account ID or the email address linked to your partner's account
- A statement like: "I request complete deletion of my PillowTalk account and all associated data."
What Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, the following will be removed:
- Your account profile
- All messages and chat history with your partner
- Your conversation preferences and customizations
- Your subscription information (if applicable)
- Any associated device tokens or identifiers
- Analytics and usage data linked to your account
What Remains
For technical and legal reasons, we may retain:
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics (not personally identifiable)
- Server logs (deleted automatically after 90 days)
- Records required by law (e.g., for tax or regulatory compliance)
Processing Time
We process data deletion requests within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
Important Notes
- Your partner's copy: If your partner has their own account, their copy of your messages will also be deleted from their account.
- No backup access: After deletion, you cannot recover your account or messages.
- Outstanding subscriptions: If you have an active PillowTalk Pro subscription, make sure to cancel it before requesting data deletion. Otherwise, you may be charged for the next billing cycle.
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected
- Delete personal information collected from you
- Opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights
To exercise these rights, submit a request to [email protected] with "CCPA Request" in the subject line.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under GDPR, including the right to:
- Access your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request erasure ("Right to be Forgotten")
- Restrict processing
- Data portability

Data Deletion Request
To request deletion of your data or exercise your privacy rights, email us at [email protected] with "Data Deletion Request" or "Privacy Rights Request" in the subject line. We'll respond within 14 days.
